Our Demonstrator for December’s meeting was National Demonstrator Vanessa Wellock who treated us to a fantastic demonstration entitled Seasons Greetings. Vanessa’s stage was full of Christmas colour and wonderful designs, and her accompanying talk was thoroughly entertaining and very funny.

The Vote of Thanks to Vanessa was given by Margaret Caygill on behalf of the Club.

As last year Club members brought very generous donations for a local food bank. The total amount donated weighed 81kg which County Durham Food Bank estimated would provide 101 meals for local families. Also among the donations made were an assortment of toys and gifts for children which were donated to the Salvation Army Toy Appeal.
